Homemade lemon pound Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups butter (softened)
- 3 cups white sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 teaspoon lemon extract
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 12-inch bundt pan.
Cream Butter in a mixing bowl until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add Eggs: Add eggs, two at a time, beating well with each addition until fully incorporated. Add vanilla and lemon extract
Mix flour and salt in a separate bowl:
Add the flour mix all at once and the butter mixture until just combined.
Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check for doneness at 1 hour by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake; it should come out clean. If not, continue baking until done.
Cool and Serve: Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
