Mom's Best Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding mix (large size)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan to prevent sticking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla pudding mix, and cinnamon.
Add the eggs, water, and oil to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until the batter is smooth and well blended.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared bundt pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
In a saucepan, combine melted butter, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Pour the warm glaze over the cooled cake for a shiny, delicious finish.
