Million Dollar Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • For the Cake:
  • 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups cake flour, sifted
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat Oven – Set to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan or tube pan.

Cream Butter & Cream Cheese – In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy (about 3 minutes).

Add Sugar & Eggs – Gradually add sugar, beating until light. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Flavor & Flour – Mix in vanilla extract. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.

Bake – Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool – Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
