Weet-Bix Caramilk Slice
Ingredients:
- 3 Weet-Bix (crushed)
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 200g Caramilk chocolate (plus extra for drizzling on top)
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, to adjust consistency)
Instructions:
Prepare the base:Crush the Weet-Bix into small crumbs (you can do this by hand or use a food processor).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Weet-Bix, desiccated coconut, and melted butter.
Add condensed milk:
Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and mix everything together until well combined. If the mixture feels too dry or crumbly, you can add a splash of milk to help bind it together.
Melt the Caramilk:
Break the Caramilk chocolate into pieces and melt it. You can do this in the microwave (stirring every 20 seconds) or on a stovetop using a double boiler.
Once melted, pour the Caramilk chocolate into the Weet-Bix mixture and stir it all together until well combined.
Press the mixture into a tin:
Line a square or rectangular baking tin (around 20cm x 20cm or similar) with baking paper.
Press the Weet-Bix mixture evenly into the base of the tin, smoothing it out with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
Chill and set:
Refrigerate the slice for at least 2-3 hours, or until it has set firmly.
Finish with a Caramilk drizzle:
Once the slice is set, melt some extra Caramilk chocolate and drizzle it over the top for an extra layer of sweetness.
Let the drizzle set in the fridge.
Serve:
Cut into squares or slices and serve!
Tips:
You can customize the slice by adding other ingredients like chopped nuts, dried fruit, or even a little bit of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
Store the slice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
This Weet-Bix Caramilk Slice is sure to be a hit at your next gathering or as a sweet treat for any occasion! Enjoy!
