Ingredients:

For the Cake:
- 200g (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp matcha powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 200g (1 cup) granulated sugar
- 100g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 180ml (3/4 cup) whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Frosting:
- 250g (1 cup) cream cheese, softened
- 100g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 200g (1 1/2 cups) powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Prepare the Cake:Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans.
In a bowl, sift together flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until smooth.
Pour the batter evenly into the cake pans and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
Prepare the Frosting:
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add powdered sugar and matcha powder, and beat until light and fluffy.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Assemble the Cake:
Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous amount of frosting on top.
Place the second layer of cake on top and frost the top and sides of the entire cake.
Garnish:
Dust the top of the cake with extra matcha powder for a beautiful finish.
