Chocolate Drip Cake🎂🧁🍰

Ingredients:

  • For the Cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

  • For the Frosting:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • For the Chocolate Drip:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • For Decoration:

  • Fresh strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries
  • Ferrero Rocher chocolates

Instructions:

1.Bake the Cake:

-Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

-In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

-Add the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla to the flour mixture and mix until well combined.

-Carefully add the boiling water to the batter and mix until smooth.

-Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

-Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and cool completely on a wire rack.

2.Make the Frosting:

-In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy.

-Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, beating until smooth.

-Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, and beat until light and fluffy.

3.Assemble the Cake:

-Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of frosting on top.

-Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining frosting.

4.Make the Chocolate Drip:

-Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer.

-Place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl and pour the hot cream over the chocolate.

-Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.

-Allow the ganache to cool slightly before dripping it over the edges of the cake.

5.Decorate:

Arrange the fresh fruits and Ferrero Rocher chocolates on top of the cake as desired.
