Instructions:

1.Prepare the Cake:
-Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans (one larger for the bottom tier and one smaller for the top tier).

-In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

-Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

-Sift together the flour and baking powder, and add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

-Divide the batter between the prepared cake pans.

-Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

-Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.

2.Prepare the Buttercream Frosting:

-In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy.

-Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth.

-Add the milk and vanilla extract, and beat until light and fluffy.

-Add blue food coloring to achieve the desired shade of blue.

3.Prepare the Fondant:

-Melt the marshmallows with water in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

-Gradually add the powdered sugar, kneading until the fondant is smooth and pliable.

-Coat hands and work surface with shortening to prevent sticking.

4.Assemble the Cake:

-Level the cooled cakes and apply a thin layer of buttercream frosting (crumb coat).

-Roll out the fondant and cover each tier.

-Stack the tiers, using dowels for support if necessary.

-Decorate with pink flowers and green leaves, and add the silver crown topper.

-Add white pearl-like decorations around the sides of the cake.
