Christmas Sugar Cookie Cheesecake:
A Festive Holiday Centerpiece🎄🍰
Ingredients:
Sugar Cookie Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups crushed sugar cookies
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cheesecake Filling:
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles (red, green, white)
Topping:
- 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
- Additional holiday sprinkles
Directions:
Prepare the Crust:Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed sugar cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar on medium speed until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Mix in the sour cream and vanilla extract until just combined. Gently fold in the holiday sprinkles.
Bake the Cheesecake:
Pour the filling over the cooled crust. Wrap the bottom of the springform pan with aluminum foil and place it in a larger baking pan. Add about 1 inch of hot water to the outer pan to create a water bath. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggles.
Cool and Chill:
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour. Then, remove it from the oven, cool completely, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Add Topping and Serve:
Before serving, spread whipped cream on top and garnish with additional holiday sprinkles. Slice and enjoy!
