Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

  • For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Strawberry Buttercream:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup fresh strawberry puree
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pink food coloring (optional)

  • For the Topping:

  • Thin strips of sharp cheese (for top and sides)
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans.

Mix dry ingredients: In two separate bowls, mix the dry ingredients for both the dark and light chocolate cake layers. Set aside.

Prepare wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, one type of chocolate mix for each layer.
