Delightful Pistachio Cardamom Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt.In a small saucepan, heat the milk and unsalted butter until the butter is melted.
Let the milk mixture cool to lukewarm, then add it to the flour mixture along with the eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and chopped pistachios.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 even slices. Place the slices in the greased baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
