Citrus Bliss Orange Creamsicle Delight

Orange Creamsicle Cake🍊🍰

Ingredients:🍊

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 package orange gelatin (3 oz)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, and sour cream. Beat on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove cakes from oven and let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans to cool completely on a wire rack.
Once cooled, poke holes in the cakes using the handle of a wooden spoon. In a small bowl, dissolve orange gelatin in boiling water, then mix in cold water. Pour over the cakes, letting it soak into the holes.
Spread whipped cream over the top of each cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
