Baileys Irish Cream Chocolate Cake with Baileys Buttercream Frosting ππ°
Ingredients:
πΉ 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
πΉ 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
πΉ 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
πΉ 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
πΉ 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
πΉ 1 tsp salt
πΉ 2 large eggs
πΉ 1 cup whole milk
πΉ 1/2 cup vegetable oil
πΉ 2 tsp vanilla extract
πΉ 1 cup boiling water
πΉ 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
For Baileys Buttercream Frosting:
πΉ 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
πΉ 4 cups powdered sugar
πΉ 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
πΉ 2 tsp vanilla extract
πΉ 2-3 tbsp heavy cream (optional)
Instructions:
π Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
π In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
πΆ Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until well combined.
π₯ Stir in boiling water and Baileys Irish Cream. Batter will be thin.
π Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
π₯ Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
π Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
For Baileys Buttercream Frosting:
π§ In a large bowl, beat softened butter until creamy.
π¬ Gradually add powdered sugar, beating on low speed until combined.
πΆ Add Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract. Beat on high speed until fluffy.
π₯ If needed, add heavy cream to reach desired consistency.
π Frost the cooled cakes with Baileys buttercream frosting.
