Ingredients:๐Ÿ“‹

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon oil, plus more for the bowl and cooking

For the Garlic Butter:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:๐Ÿฅฃ

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In another bowl, mix warm water, yogurt, and 1 tablespoon oil.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest in a warm place for 2 hours.

Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll each part into a ball, then flatten and stretch into an oval shape about 1/8 inch thick.

Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for 1-2 minutes on each side, until puffed and golden brown spots appear.

For the garlic butter, mix melted butter with minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and salt.

Brush each naan with garlic butter immediately after cooking. Serve warm.
