Oreo Truffles

Oreo Truffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • Optional toppings: crushed Oreo cookies, sprinkles, melted chocolate

Directions:

Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they are finely crushed.
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and smooth.
Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Meanwhile, melt the semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
Using a fork or toothpick, dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Tap off any excess chocolate and place the coated truffle back on the baking sheet.
If desired, sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies or sprinkles on top of the truffles before the chocolate sets.
Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate coating to set before serving.
