BASIC POUND CAKE
Only 4 ingredients However, unlike other cakes, pound cakes rely on air and eggs to rise. So it's inherently a dense cake
Ingredients :
2 cups all-purpose flour5 eggs, at room temperature
1⅔ cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
Method :
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.Grease & flour your Bundt pan or 8" loaf pan
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs. Continue mixing
Fold your flour into your wet mixture until evenly incorporated
Pour your batter into a greased & floured pan and bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and a cake tester comes out clean.
Let it cool for 30 minutes before removing it from the pan.
OPTIONAL - Garnish with powdered sugar or vanilla, lemon, or chocolate glaze
