Korean flags❤️
“Korean banderillas” are a delicious and popular way of preparing sausages in South Korea. These sausages are skewered on toothpicks and topped with a variety of delicious toppings. Here is an easy and simple recipe to make Korean sausage buns.
Ingredients
For the flags:
• Hot dog type sausages (they can be regular, cheese, or your choice)• Skewer sticks
• Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar or another that melts well) cut into pieces (optional)
For the mass:
• 1 cup of wheat flour• 1 spoon of sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 pinch of salt
• 1 egg
• 3/4 cup of milk
• Skewer sticks (the same ones you will use to skewer the sausages)
To coat:
• Breadcrumbs or panko• Vegetable oil (for frying)
Before starting the preparation of this recipe, it is essential to make sure you have all the ingredients on hand and that you follow each step of the recipe to the letter. This will guarantee success in creating exquisite Korean flags.
Preparation:
1. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
2. Add the egg and milk to the dry mixture and stir until you get a smooth dough.
3. Thread the sausages onto the skewer sticks.
4. If you want to add cheese, cut pieces of cheese and place them between the sausages.
5. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to approximately 170-180°C (340-360°F).
6. Dip each skewered sausage into the dough until completely covered. You can use your hands to evenly distribute the dough.
7. Next, roll the sausage with dough in breadcrumbs or panko to coat well.
8. Fry the banderillas in the hot oil until they are golden brown and the dough is cooked through, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
9. Remove the flags from the oil and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
10. Let the banderillas cool slightly before enjoying them.
You can serve Korean banderillas with sauces of your choice, such as ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, hot sauce, or even a Korean-style sweet and sour sauce.
